Jim started JPI in 1978. He is an integral part of the day to day operations of JPI and handles estimating, project management, and also serves as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. With Jim’s leadership, the company has grown to employ 43 people and has completed jobs ranging from $100,000 to $4 million.

Sherri graduated from William Jewell College with a BS in Business Management and obtained her MBA from Rockhurst. Sherri has worked at JPI since 1986, serving in capacities ranging from personnel director, safety director, and accounting department manager.

In seeking a transition to a totally new and different career field, Lee brought his managerial skills to JPI in 2007.  Since starting at JPI, Lee has worked or supervised every aspect of the company from accounting, fabrication, estimating and is now one of JPI’s senior project managers.  Lee’s managerial, communicative and strong people skills have been instrumental in the success and growth of JPI.

Jason joined JPI in 2001 as a fabricator. He worked his way up to a job foreman and in 2005, became a project manager. He graduated from Kansas State in 2003, and completed Associated Builders and Contractor’s Glazing Apprenticeship Program in 2007. Jason holds OSHA 30 hour, Hilti, Equipment, CPR and First Aid certifications.

In seeking to be closer to home, Jo joined JPI in February 2009, transferring from her position with a Civil Engineer Firm.  She brings with her over 20 years of multifaceted accounting and leadership skills from company start ups, implementing new accounting software programs, managing a private extended-stay hotel, American Red Cross Chairman of Volunteer with over 200 volunteers and prior Active & Reserve Military Officer leadership skills.  Her work motto comes from her years as a Girl Scout:  “Always leave the campsite better than you found it.”

As a Military wife, mother of three, active volunteer and full-time online student, Jessica is no stranger to multitasking. She has 8+ years experience in the construction field and brought her “hit the ground running” skills to JPI in 2010. She quickly took charge, becoming an essential component to the Project Management Team.  We wonder how we survived without her.

Due to JPI’s growth, Jessica joined JPI’s Accounting Staff in 2010 to head the Accounts Payable Section.  She brings with her over 8 years of accounting experience and a take charge attitude. She has a Military Spouse’s “nothing is impossible” work ethic AND another French Bulldog friend for our office mascot, Zoe.  She is a wonderful addition to the JPI team.

Apprenticeship Training

Our permanent commitment to continuing education and growth is demonstrated through a formal apprenticeship training program, in conjunction with Associated Builders and Contractors.

The “Wheels of Learning” Glazier craft training curriculum was developed in the 1980’s and is registered with the United States Department of Labor. This three year program meets all state requirements for formal apprenticeship and prevailing wage work, including employer classroom instruction and on-the-job training. Upon successful completion of the program, craft workers are at the journey level for the “Glass & Glazing” trade and are awarded their BAT certificate.

We at JPI are extremely proud to offer a program that furthers education and offers additional opportunities for the students. All class presentations, specialized training and special certifications by industry and trade professionals are also open to all JPI employees.
